I've been working on a comic book since about... 2006? Heh. I got the itch to make a comic, dove in, and realized that I couldn't just "wing it". (My first attempt was a terrible werewolf comic I got about 4 pages into before realizing I had no dialogue and it was really, really cheeeeze. [link] )
... so I decided to take a 60 page text role play I did with my clan and adapt it into a comic book. (Text RP is sorta like story writing, but everyone only writes their character(s)-- I have obtained permission for the characters I use in the comic.)
I also decided to learn about writing and drawing for comics. I bought Kristy Marx's book on writing and a perspective drawing/comic art book, went to San Diego Comic Con and took a few comic making classes, and started writing a script and story boarding. I have about 15-20 pages (enough for a first issue) of script done and mostly story boarded. I'm now working on some of the actual art.

The story is basically about my Rogue, Ebon-Ashe, who has been stabbed with one of the daggers of the nine hells. She forgets who she is and is basically involved in all sorts of exciting intrigue. Really, if you want to read it ALL (only the un-modded comic version-- I modded it to remove characters whose permission I didn't have)... you can go here: [link]
Anyway, I copier scanned some of the art for the comic. I really need to ink it because the copy scans show up lousy and look grainy and terrible. I also can't adjust levels or contrast to get the lines to look smooth and clean. *sigh*
... but you can see preview art in my scrapbook here: [link]
Enjoy!
